Red phone box

People Are Home     (1978)

This is the very last letter I'll send you, this is the way that it's got to be

I won't be searching for telephone kiosks to call on home to a sad eyed girl

This is the end of a long distance love affair, suddenly I can't pretend anymore

Sendin' you money to pay for my rollin' out on the roads of an empty world

People are home, places are lonely on their own, no friendly faces behind the door

People are home, places are lonely, I can testify,

an' I'm leavin' this dream behind, I'm runnin' away no more

Here is a man with his eye on tomorrow, or maybe a fool who's afraid of today

Anyway I've had some time for reflection and love is too precious to throw away

People are home.....
